Hi Mayra,
We use the Parent Pages too, and I'm not sure if they have been updated
recently. Have you tried contacting someone directly at Cornell, like
Nancy Olsen Harbich?? Another resource would be Zero to Three -
http://www.zerotothree.org/brainwonders/
There brain wonders pages are written specifically for parents, child
care professionals, and others who work with young children. They are
free to reproduce, and contain wonderful information. Also, under the
brain wonders link, you can print out age by age developmental pages.
Another resource that we just tried is a catalog called Noodle Soup.
www.noodlesoup.com
They market towards nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, etc.. -
but what I liked were the double sided card stock bookmarks on a variety
of topics like child behavior issues, child development, play and
literacy, etc.. and they are cheap - 100 for $8.00 ( compared with the
academy of pediatrics prices I thought they were cheap!)
Hope this helps,
lisa

Subject: Re: [Lapc] Sept Meeting
Dear LAPC members:
I am assisting in conducting a Parent Child and a Toddler Time program.
The age of these toddlers are 14-29 months.
Over recent years we have been handing out "Parent Pages" from Cornell
Cooperative on different issues toddlers face such as discipline, toilet
training, etc.. Each handout is double sided (approximately 1 1/2 pages
long).
I have been trying to contact Cornell about these handouts to see if
there are updated versions. I have tried calling and leaving messages
several times but no one there has responded.
If anyone has information about these handouts or any other ideas on new
pages to hand out please let me know as soon as possible. You can also
reach me by phone at Connetquot 567-5079. E-mails are welcome of
course!
Thank you all as always for your generosity and advice.

Dear LAPC Members,
At our recent meeting we discussed highlighting how to deal with
difficult
patrons/parents in the library and at library programs. I
volunteered to
contact EAP to see if Dominic would be available to attend our
next
meeting and I am pleased to report that he will join us at MCPL
on Sept
27th. Perhaps we can submit issues/examples of difficult and
challenging
situations to him prior to the meeting. See you soon!
