From haupfriend at gmail.com Wed Feb 1 14:35:16 2012 From: haupfriend at gmail.com (Hauppauge Friends of the Arts) Date: Wed Feb 1 15:15:36 2012 Subject: [Friends] Info needed on fund raising Message-ID: We at the Friends of the Arts @Hauppauge Public are thinking about having a craft/flea market fund raiser in the early fall. Have any of you held such an event and if so what pointers can you give us. We are thinking of charging for the space at a dollar amount per space. The vendor would supply the table. We are interested in knowing how vendors were located, how much was charged per space, how parking was controlled, what happens if it rains, how much in advance of the event was it planned etc We would appreciate any information you could give us. Thanks so much Dorothy Becker -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Each month, two librarians visit children in these facilities and bring with them books, as well as kits of activities, games, and puzzles. These materials are purchased and assembled by SCLS and then distributed to the librarians making these visits. All costs associated with this program originate from donations by Friends groups and other generous agencies. SCLS is currently seeking donations for this program. We are especially in need of funds to purchase materials for kits. This includes items such as crayons, small games, and puzzles. For those groups who desire to contribute, checks should be made payable to SCLS with the words "Hospital Fund" in the note field. We appreciate the generosity of those organizations which have supported and continue to support this worthwhile community activity. Thank you.
